Historic Costume

For my Historic Costume course in Spring 2021, our class was given a semester long project to work with The Idea Shop, located in downtown Starkville, MS to create a product to be sold to promote MSU Historic Costume and Textiles Collection. From start to finish, we were given the responsibility a full creative freedom to produce products that would be seen in a museum gift shop. From creating our own made up company, to product development proposal, prototyping, photographing, and store display, this was a truly rewarding project to see completed. The products I chose to be manufactured were a tote bag and postcard featuring a collection created that features modern renditions of historical garments from MSU HCTC. These products sold out within a few days!
